United States: Former US President Mr. Donald Trump stated that he anticipates being arrested in relation to the lengthy investigation into a hush money plot involving adult film actress Ms. Stormy Daniels. Mr. Trump also urged his fans to protest any such action.

The “leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,” Trump wrote on social media, referring to himself. He did not, however, elaborate on the circumstances behind his anticipated arrest. After Trump’s post, his staff claimed that it had not heard from the prosecution.

Although his lawyer said there had been no communication from law police and the former president’s post was based on media sources. The possibility of charging Mr. Trump has been investigated by the prosecution. It might happen next week, according to reports.

This case centres on alleged hush money given to porn star Stormy Daniels by Mr. Trump’s attorney before the 2016 presidential election. The 76-year-old is currently under investigation in a number of incidents, though he has not been charged in any and maintains his innocence in all of them.

Even if he is indicted, Mr. Trump has vowed to carry on with his effort to become the Republican nominee in the 2024 presidential election. An indictment might have the same effect as previous investigations of him, like two impeachment trials, the Russia probe, and the Mar-a-Lago raid, which have tended to increase his support among his base.
