Portugal: Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, model and influencer Georgina Rodríguez, in a civil ceremony in Portugal.

Ronaldo announced the marriage on Instagram on August 11, sharing an image of two hands wearing wedding rings. Portuguese media reported that the couple married in the coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon, with their five children attending the ceremony. The couple have been together for 10 years, after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid where Rodríguez was working while Ronaldo was playing for Real Madrid.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced their engagement on August 11, 2025, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of a large diamond ring and confirmed the engagement on social media. The couple have two children together. Their daughter Alana Martina was born in 2017, while their youngest daughter Bella was born in April 2022. Bella was born alongside a twin brother, who died shortly after birth.

Rodríguez has also helped raise Ronaldo’s other three children, and the family currently lives in Riyadh, where Ronaldo plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr. Ronaldo, 41, is one of football’s most decorated players. Ronaldo has scored nearly 1,000 career goals and has represented Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, Al-Nassr and Portugal.

The Portuguese forward has won the Ballon d’Or five times, placing him second behind Lionel Messi, who has won the award eight times. Ronaldo is also captain of Portugal and recently appeared at his sixth and final World Cup, matching Messi’s record for the most appearances at men’s World Cup finals. Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in 2022 and signed a new two-year contract last year, keeping him at the Saudi Arabian club until 2027.

His career achievements have also made him one of the world’s wealthiest athletes. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index valued his net worth at around $1.4 billion last year, making him the first football player to reach billionaire status.
