United States: The American rapper Cardi B was hit by an object from the crowd during a concert when an audience member threw their drink at the rapper. The rapper reacted by throwing her microphone at the crowd.

Although the rapper no longer had a microphone, her voice was still heard on speakers during the performance, suggesting she had been lip-syncing, as per the statement. The concert was in Las Vegas, and fans took videos, which went viral on social media.

The video shows security staff surrounding the assailant and retrieving the rapper’s microphone. This incident adds to the growing list of performers experiencing interruptions during their shows, with individuals in the crowd throwing objects onto the stage.

In June 2023, Bebe Rexha was hurt when a man threw his phone on stage, hitting her in the face. The man, identified as 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna from New Jersey, has been charged with two counts of third-degree assault, one count of second-degree harassment, one count of second-degree aggravated harassment, and one count of third-degree attempted assault.

In November 2023, Harry Styles got struck in the eye with candy during a concert, and Pink appeared uneasy when someone threw a bag of human ashes onto the stage while she was performing in London. Last year, Cardi B confessed to two offences related to a brawl in a strip club, as part of an agreement to avoid a trial and potential imprisonment. During that time, she stated, “I’ve made some poor decisions in my past that I am not afraid to confront and take responsibility for.”
