STAR OF SECTOR Postponed to Strengthen Excellence

Although hundreds of entries were received worldwide, fewer than ten met the standards required for the final stage, prompting organisers of STAR OF SECTOR to postpone the awards.

Sharjah, UAE: The eagerly awaited launch of the STAR OF SECTOR Awards has been officially postponed, organisers confirmed this week, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining uncompromising standards and long-term credibility in corporate recognition.

Despite a strong global response and more than a hundred nominations, an internal assessment revealed that fewer than ten submissions met the award’s rigorous criteria for excellence. Organisers stated that delaying the event, rather than compromising its quality, was a deliberate decision to uphold authenticity over ceremony.

“Although we received many nominations, fewer than ten met our standards. When quality appeared at risk, we made the difficult decision to postpone the awards despite the financial and operational impact,” the organising committee said in an official statement.

Jointly presented by GCC Business News and Emirati Times, and managed by WellMade Network FZC LLC in Sharjah, the STAR OF SECTOR Awards were established to honour genuine innovation and lasting impact across diverse industries in the region. The programme, limited to only 32 recognitions annually, aspires to set a new benchmark in corporate reputation and credibility.

Organisers acknowledged the costs associated with the postponement but described the move as “an investment in long-term integrity.” They emphasised that maintaining exceptional standards is vital to building STAR OF SECTOR into a trusted name within the evolving global business environment.

“Prioritising commercial gain over merit would undermine the purpose of our initiative,” a WellMade Network spokesperson stated. “This decision underscores our continued commitment to transparency, quality, and trust, values at the heart of our editorial and brand philosophy.”

Revised dates and updated nomination guidelines will be announced soon. The organising team plans to use this period to refine evaluation methods and attract stronger candidates. As anticipation grows within corporate circles, STAR OF SECTOR continues to position itself not merely as an awards platform but as a hallmark of integrity-driven business recognition.
