Beirut: In a series of deadly attacks, Israeli forces (IDF) killed at least 64 Palestinians, primarily in the northern region, where a six-day Gaza siege has forced the United Nations to close schools converted into shelters and hospitals.

The ongoing violence has resulted in a staggering toll, with Gaza reporting at least 42,010 deaths and 97,720 injuries since October 2023.

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces shot and killed at least four Palestinians. The situation in the region remains tense as Israeli military operations continue.

The conflict has also extended into Lebanon, where Israeli attacks have killed at least five people in the southern town of Wardaniyeh, along with five paramedics in the Tyre district. Reports indicate that the bombardment in Lebanon continues, with casualties also reported in Baalbek, where four people were killed in separate attacks.

Israel has also faced retaliatory fire from Hezbollah, with rockets being launched toward northern Israel. An Israeli military spokesperson stated that multiple projectiles were intercepted, but some caused damage in border towns.

IDF said on X that, “We will continue eliminating Hezbollah terrorists that threaten the lives of our civilians.”

The Israeli military announced that 2 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated in precise strikes.

Meanwhile, Syrian state media reported material damage from Israeli attacks on a car factory and a military site in Syria.

IDF also says that they had taken different steps to mitigate harm to civilians by putting out Radio and SMS warnings and personal and recorded phone calls to warn civilians to evacuate in a timely manner.

Earlier, the UK’s Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency reported that a ship was struck by an “unknown projectile” about 70 nautical miles southwest of Yemen’s Hodeidah, with two more projectiles later exploding near the same vessel. The crew was reported safe.

As the violence escalates, the humanitarian situation in Gaza and Lebanon continues to deteriorate, with calls for urgent intervention and support growing louder amid the ongoing conflict.
