United States: Meta, in collaboration with Ray-Ban, has developed a pair of smart glasses. They are equipped with advanced technology, including artificial intelligence (AI) features.

The company stated that they will allow some people to try out the AI functions of these glasses, but it is an early trial phase for now.

These smart glasses boast AI-powered capabilities that utilize built-in cameras and microphones. These features enable the glasses to understand and interpret what they “see” and “hear.” By analysing the camera and microphone inputs, the glasses’ AI assistant can provide information or assistance based on what it observes or hears.

For example, imagine you are wearing these smart glasses, and you want to know about a landmark you are looking at. The AI assistant can identify the landmark through the camera and instantly provide relevant information about it.

Similarly, if you ask a question or need help while wearing the glasses, the AI assistant can understand your voice commands and respond accordingly.

In an Instagram video, Meta CEO, Mr. Mark Zuckerberg, showcased some of the glasses’ features. Mr. Zuckerberg held up a shirt and asked the glasses to suggest pants that would go well with it. Additionally, he demonstrated the AI assistant’s ability to translate text and display image captions.

“‘With our Early Access program for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, you can be the first to experience our cutting-edge technology and features. As a participant in this program, you will have the opportunity to provide valuable feedback that will help shape the future of smart glasses, ensuring our products continue to meet your needs and expectations,” Meta said in a blog post.
