    Elon Musk to attend UK AI Safety Summit; Report

    London, UK: The international business magnet Mr. Elon Musk will reportedly attend the UK AI Safety Summit. The UK Prime Minister, Mr. Rishi Sunak, said he would do a live interview with the tech billionaire after the second day of the event.

    The event is scheduled to take place on November 1–2, 2023, at Bletchley Park, Buckinghamshire. Mr. Sunak will host the AI Safety Summit 2023 along with the UK technology secretary Ms. Michelle Donelan.

    The Summit will see the participation of governments, leading AI companies, civil society groups, and renowned experts in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

    US Vice President Ms. Kamala Harris and European Commission President Ms. Ursula von der Leyen are anticipated to attend the event.

    The Summit’s key focus is to address the concerns raised surrounding the risks posed by AI. In this technological era, AI’s risks are growing faster without boundaries. This summit aims to make a plan to tackle this potential challenge.

    “The UK has long been home to the transformative technologies of the future, so there is no better place to host the first-ever global AI safety summit than at Bletchley Park this November,” the UK Prime Minister commented in a separate statement.

    100 people from 28 nations attended the summit, as per the report. Microsoft’s Mr. Brad Smith, former UK Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Nick Clegg, now president of global affairs at Meta, and Mr. James Manyika and Mr. Demis Hassabis, from Alphabet’s Google and DeepMind will likely be at the Summit.
