London, UK: England’s captain Harry Kane got permission from Tottenham to fly to Germany for a medical ahead of his potential move to Bayern Munich.

Kane is the all-time record scorer for Tottenham (Spurs), with 280 goals in 435 appearances. Once Kane was informed that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs, he chose to accept the offer presented by Bayern.

On 10th August 2023, Bayern and Spurs reached a deal exceeding $110 million for the 30-year-old player. The caption had one year left on the contract and was unlikely to stay with the club. Kane reportedly went to the airport this morning and returned for permission to fly. It is understood that now there are no issues regarding Kane’s move.

Initially, there were rumours connecting Kane to a transfer to Manchester United this summer. However, it remained uncertain whether Levy would have been open to selling him to another Premier League team. The 30-year-old had the option to complete the last year of his contract and then leave as a free transfer in 2024.

When Manchester City tried to acquire Kane in 2021, the English striker postponed his return for pre-season training. However, he participated in Tottenham’s pre-season tour of Australia and Southeast Asia, while discussions with Bayern persisted.

The striker will hopefully start playing for Bayern during the Bundesliga season next week. Kane has secured the Premier League Golden Boot three times in 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2020-21. With a total of 213 goals from 320 matches in the English top flight, he was just 48 goals away from surpassing Alan Shearer’s Premier League scoring record.
