During a United Nations Security Council meeting, Mr. Guterres, alongside Russia’s Ambassador to the UN, Mr. Vasily Nebenzya, highlighted the concerning findings of the UN’s research on the treatment of civilians in war zones. The research revealed that over 117 million people are currently facing acute hunger primarily due to the impacts of war and insecurity.
