Madrid, Spain: Kylian Mbappé has confirmed that he has fully recovered from a knee injury and is aiming to feature in all of Real Madrid’s remaining matches this season as he builds momentum ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
The 27-year-old forward had been sidelined for four league matches earlier this year due to a lingering knee problem carried over from last season. The French striker made his return, coming off the bench in the 64th minute during Madrid’s 3-2 victory over Atlético Madrid.
Kylian Mbappé has also been named in the France national football team squad for the upcoming international friendlies against the Brazil national football team on March 26.
The player will then face the Colombia national football team three days later in the United States, where the United States will co-host the FIFA World Cup 2026 alongside Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.

In an interview,Mbappé stated that he has made a ‘100 percent recovery.’ The player explained that his preparation for major tournaments has always focused on consistent performance, playing regularly, scoring goals, winning titles, and competing until the final moments for his club, and he intends to follow the same approach this year to arrive in peak condition.
Reflecting on his international performances, Mbappé was a standout at the FIFA World Cup 2022, where he scored a hat-trick in the final against the Argentina national football team. Despite France finishing as runners-up, he secured the Golden Boot with eight goals.
The player also addressed speculation about his fitness, stating that some reports regarding his recovery were inaccurate and not based on verified information. The striker added that such scrutiny is part of being a top-level athlete, where unverified claims are often made.
France, winners of the World Cup in 1998 and 2018, have been drawn in Group I for the 2026 tournament. They will face the Norway national football team, the Senegal national football team, and the winner of an intercontinental playoff.
