Beijing: China’s autonomous driving company Pony.ai said its pipeline of planned and potential overseas robotaxi deployments has expanded to more than 4,000 vehicles, highlighting growing international interest in autonomous ride-hailing technology.
The company reported strong second-quarter financial results, with total revenue rising 68.8 percent from a year earlier to $36.2 million, according to a company statement.
Robotaxi services were a major driver of the growth. Revenue from the segment surged 691.2 percent compared with the same period last year and accounted for one-third of Pony.ai’s total revenue for the first time.
Pony.ai stated that the overseas pipeline includes both planned and potential deployments as the company expands its autonomous driving operations beyond China. The growing pipeline reflects the company’s efforts to establish a stronger presence in international markets as demand for driverless transportation develops.

Pony.ai CEO James Peng remarked that the company would continue advancing its full-year plans and remained confident about exceeding its robotaxi services revenue target.
The company expects full-year robotaxi services revenue to exceed three-and-a-half times the level recorded in 2025, supported by the expansion of its robotaxi operations.
The latest results come as Chinese autonomous driving companies step up efforts to commercialise robotaxi services and expand into overseas markets. Robotaxis have become one of the most prominent applications of autonomous driving technology, with companies seeking to demonstrate that driverless vehicles can operate safely and commercially at scale.
Pony.ai’s expanding overseas pipeline could strengthen the company’s position in the global autonomous vehicle market while providing a platform for further revenue growth. The company is continuing to develop its robotaxi business as international markets increasingly explore autonomous transportation solutions.
