Ukraine: The Russian withdrawal was hailed as the “beginning of the end of the war” by Ukrainian President Mr. Volodymyr Zelensky during his triumphant visit to the recently liberated city of Kherson. However, the Ukrainian President also acknowledged the high-cost Ukrainian soldiers are incurring in their valiant efforts to repel the invading force.

Ukraine’s victory at Kherson was one of its biggest in nearly nine months after Moscow’s invasion. The victory dealt the Kremlin (Russian Citadels) yet another painful blow and might serve as a launchpad for subsequent incursions into the seized territory.

Nevertheless, a large fraction of eastern and southern Ukraine is still under Russian occupation, and Kherson itself is still within range of Russian shells and missiles. While this was going on, there was fierce fighting elsewhere in the nation where Ukraine reported multiple civilian losses. Mr. Zelensky strolled the streets of Kherson, presenting medals to soldiers and taking selfies with them while sending a defiant message.

This is the beginning of the end of the war, we are step by step coming to all the temporarily occupied territories.

    The Ukrainian President cited.

Days of celebration have followed the end of Russia’s takeover of the city, the first provincial capital its soldiers have taken control of since the invasion in February. However, as winter approaches, locals are coping with a lack of food, medicine, and access to heat, water, and electricity. Mr. Zelensky acknowledged that the city is covered in mines and booby traps. According to Ukrainian authorities, proof of atrocities is surfacing in previously liberated areas.

The Ukrainian President already has arrived unannounced in other front-line locations at pivotal points in the war, and his most recent visit was both symbolic and humane, obviously intended to raise morale among soldiers and civilians alike.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the eastern Donetsk region settlement of Pavlivka has been totally taken by Russian forces. Although many Ukrainian officials mentioned fierce fights taking place nearby recently, they did not confirm their fall of Pavlivka. Mr. Serhiy Haidai, the regional governor for Ukraine, reported that Kiev’s soldiers had retaken 12 towns in Luhansk, another eastern province that Moscow had forcibly occupied.
