London, UK: A new study has revealed that replanting logged forests with diverse mixtures of seedlings can significantly accelerate their recovery. Satellite observations of the island of Borneo have shown how lowland rainforests have recovered over a decade. It is one of the world’s largest ecological experiments. Ukraine: The UNESCO World Heritage body has stated that historical sites in two Ukrainian cities are on high alert for destruction due to the war with Russia. The United Nations (UN) heritage body noted that it is impossible to protect these sites. Romania: NATO member Romania has imposed additional flight restrictions in parts of its airspace along the Ukrainian border. The move comes after the discovery of drone debris on its territory near Ukrainian ports that had been attacked by Russia.
