Egypt: Archaeologists have found a wealth of grave goods, including hundreds of large wine jars, some of which are still sealed in the tomb of the First Dynasty Egyptian queen Meret-Neith. This discovery suggests that she was a very significant person, maybe she could even be Egypt’s first female pharaoh. London, UK: The British rock band Coldplay has sued their former manager Dave Holmes as he filed a lawsuit against the group for $12 million in “unpaid commission” in August 2023. The former manager claims that the money is linked to two upcoming albums on which he worked with the group. However, Coldplay has rejected the claims, and they want $17 million as compensation. Afghanistan: Officials have said that more than 100 people lost their lives in a powerful earthquake followed by strong aftershocks in western Afghanistan. The United Nations has warned that the death toll could rise as search and rescue efforts continue. The 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck 40km (24 miles) west of the city of Herat. Bangladesh: Bangladesh has reportedly received the first Russian shipment of uranium fuel for its first nuclear power plant. Russian state-owned atomic company Rosatom is collaborating with the country to build the first two nuclear power plants.
