London, UK: Taylor Swift’s 2024 UK tour tickets have gone on sale, causing a frenzy among fans eager to secure their seats. The first batch of tickets was made available to those who pre-ordered Swift’s latest album, Midnights, with sales starting at 11:00 BST for London and Edinburgh shows. Unlike the US sale, which was plagued by technical issues, the UK ticket sales reportedly went smoothly. However, some fans took to social media to express frustration after being unexpectedly kicked out of the ticket queue by Ticketmaster.
Swift’s European leg of the tour is set to begin in May 2024, featuring a total of 13 shows across the UK. Due to overwhelming demand, three additional dates were added earlier this month, expanding the original 10-date schedule. The European tour will also include stops in Paris, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and Vienna.
Last year, Swift’s US shows sold out rapidly, leading to technical difficulties on Ticketmaster’s website. This prompted an investigation into the ticketing system. Swift’s ongoing Eras Tour, which started in March in Arizona, spans five continents and includes over 130 performances. Known for her extensive sets, often exceeding 40 songs per night and featuring surprise guests, Swift has garnered praise from both fans and critics.
For the European leg, American band Paramore will join Swift as a special guest. In addition to her tour, Swift has been re-recording her back catalogue after a dispute with music manager Scooter Braun, who previously owned and sold the rights to her master recordings. Her latest re-recording, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), was released earlier this month, delighting fans.
