London, UK: After days of speculation and various twist and turns, Conservative Party Member and Member of Parliament for Richmond, Mr. Rishi Sunak has taken up the mantle of being the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Mr. Sunak’s journey to the Prime Ministership went through some late drama as former British Prime Minister Mr. Boris Johnson withdrew from the race in the last stride. Even though his colleague and fellow party member, Ms. Penny Mordaunt pushed for a late upset, she reportedly pulled out of the contest closer to the 1 PM (UK Time) deadline.

    CHILDHOOD

Mr. Sunak was born in Southampton and attended the globally renowned Winchester College.  His Indian connection comes from his parents who immigrated to the UK from East Africa in the 1960s.
