France : According to reports Mr. Lionel Messi was suspended by Paris Saint-Germain for travelling to Saudi Arabia without obtaining the club’s permission.

Although French media outlets reported the length of the suspension to be two weeks, the person who disclosed this information did not specify any duration. This individual requested anonymity since they were not permitted to discuss the matter publicly.

Mr. Messi is facing a potential two-week suspension, which would cause him to miss PSG’s next two games. Reports have stated this information, but they have not disclosed their sources.

Saudi Arabia has a commercial agreement with Mr. Messi for the promotion of tourism in their country within the Middle East region. At a crucial moment for the French club, who are looking to secure the Argentine star’s services for another season, his suspension has been imposed.

After PSG’s unexpected 3-1 defeat to Lorient, in which Mr. Messi played the entire game, the defending champions now hold a five-point advantage over Marseille with only five games remaining in the season. Nonetheless, Mr. Messi made a trip following the game.

According to a report from a French newspaper, Mr. Christophe Galtier, the coach of PSG, allegedly promised his players two days off, on May 1st to 2nd 2023, if they won against Lorient. However, the team ended up training on Monday and was given Tuesday off instead. For the past two years, there has been speculation about the future club of the PSG player who joined from Barcelona.
