Hawthorne, California: Elon Musk has asserted that he would take “anyone” to Mars except if Kamala Harris becomes President of the United States. Musk informed his followers on X that within two years, he plans to launch five spaceships to Mars.

Musk said that, another Democratic presidency “would destroy the Mars programme and doom humanity, we will never reach Mars if Kamala wins.”

This is also a point Republican candidate Trump gave while his speech, he vowed to reach Mars during his presidency if his supporters get him to the White House. Trump said that, “I’ll talk to Elon, to get those rocket ships going.”

Musk, a staunch proponent of Mars colonization, envisions a future where humanity expands its presence beyond Earth. He aims to send crewed missions to the Red Planet within the next few years. However, his comments about excluding Harris have raised questions about the interplay between politics and space exploration.

Musk also raise a concern that, “One of my biggest concerns right now is that the Starship programme is being smothered by a mountain of government bureaucracy that grows every year.”

Musk stated that if his unmanned Starships successfully land on Mars within the next two years, he plans to send crewed missions by 2028. He has also expressed his ambition to establish a self-sustaining colony on Mars within 20 years.

As discussions about space exploration continue to gain momentum, Musk’s remarks remind us of the intricate relationship between technology, politics, and humanity’s future in the cosmos and this has raised a stage for huge discussions on X.
