Mumbai, India: Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic has won the prestigious Miss World 2024 title on March 9 in a lavish ceremony in Mumbai.
Yasmina Zaytoun, Miss Lebanon, was crowned the first runner-up. At the glamorous final ceremony held here, Poland’s Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World, named her successor.
Pyszkova, the Czech Republic’s second Miss World, after Tatana Kucharova, the 2006 pageant winner.
The official Miss World website states that Pyszkova is a model from the Czech Republic who is pursuing degrees in business administration and law separately.
In addition to being the creator of the Krystyna Pyszko Foundation, Pyszkova is in her 20s. The model, who speaks German, English, Polish, and Slovak with ease, is a champion for education that promotes sustainable development.
112 different nations sent competitors to contest in the 71st Miss World pageant. Many rounds, such as talent shows, sporting events, and philanthropic endeavors, were held throughout the month-long Miss World event with the goal of showcasing the attributes that make the contestants the change agents.
Established in 1951 as a “bikini contest,” Miss World is recognized as the most ancient international beauty pageant. The two most well-known winners, Miss World 1994’s Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Miss World 2000’s Priyanka Chopra Jonas, are both Indian actors. In a video statement, Chopra Jonas paid respects to Miss World owner Julia Morley as well as to Nita Ambani, who took home the Humanitarian Award during the competition.
Pyszková takes over for Poland’s Karolina Bielawska, the reigning Miss World until March 2022. (There was no Miss World pageant in 2023 due to scheduling clashes.)
