    King Charles unveils statues of Elizabeth II & Prince Philip

    The Festival of Remembrance this year commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic, where approximately 65,000 seamen lost their lives, as per the statement.

    London, UK: King Charles and Queen Camilla have unveiled bronze statues of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. It occurred when the King and Queen arrived for the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

    The King and Queen were then joined by nine other members of the Royal Family at the festival, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent.

    UK Prime Minister Mr. Rishi Sunak and his wife Ms. Akshata Murty watched the event from a box to the left of the royals, while Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Lady Victoria sat in a separate box to the right.

    British soul singer Ms. Mica Paris, pop star Ms. Calum Scott, Chelsea Pensioner Mr. Colin Thackery, and tenor Mr. Alfie Boe, who sang “Bring Him Home,” were among the performers at the event.

    The Princess Royal paid tribute to those who perished in the Battle of the Atlantic, the longest military campaign of the Second World War.

    The Festival of Remembrance this year commemorated the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic, where approximately 65,000 seamen lost their lives, as per the statement.

    The festival also paid tribute to the bereaved who lost loved ones in military service. Additionally, footage marking the 70th anniversary of the Korean War was featured, including contributions from individuals who had served.
