Australia has clinched victory in five ODI World Cup tournaments (1987, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2015) and faced defeat in two finals (1975, 1996), maintaining their strong position in the cricketing world.
India secured victory in two titles (1983, 2011) and faced defeat in one final (2003), matching the record of the West Indies, who also claimed two wins (1975, 1979) and experienced one loss (1983).
The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 match will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in India. The toss will take place at 1:30 pm IST, with the marquee event between India and Australia beginning at 2 pm IST.
