United States: Google has updated its Bard AI chatbot, which can now answer questions about YouTube videos.
According to reports, Bard already had the ability to analyse YouTube videos with the launch of the YouTube extension but with the latest update, the chatbot can now give you specific answers to queries related to the content of a video.
“We are taking the first steps in Bard’s ability to understand YouTube videos. For example, if you are looking for videos on how to make olive oil cake, you can now also ask how many eggs the recipe in the first video requires,” as per the statement.
“We have heard you want deeper engagement with YouTube videos. So, we are expanding the YouTube Extension to understand some video content so you can have a richer conversation with Bard about it,” the company stated.
As per the reports, the YouTube Extension for Bard was introduced in September, but it could only be used to search for videos.
All you have to do to enable the YouTube extension is visit the Bard homepage and click the puzzle icon located in the upper right corner. When you do that, a number of options will appear. You may get started by simply turning on the toggle in front of YouTube.
The new announcement comes at a time when the video streaming giant, YouTube, has just unveiled some fascinating new AI tools to enhance the viewing and interaction experience. While these features are still in the early stages of testing, YouTube Premium members will have the opportunity to participate in this experiment by visiting the YouTube website.
