United States: Mr. Elon Musk has announced the launch of his new AI company xAI, an Alternative to ChatGPT to ”understand the true nature of the universe”.

The team of the firm includes former employees of OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Tesla, DeepMind and the University of Toronto. The firm will lead by the Tesla CEO, who had concerns over AI’s potential for “civilizational destruction.” As per the website, there will be a Twitter Spaces event on 14th July 2023.

Mr. Musk has expressed constant worry that the development of AI should be paused and that the sector needed regulation, as per the statement. The billionaire delivered dialogue on Twitter that, he is planning to create a safer AI.

According to the xAI, Mr. Dan Hendrycks, the director of the Center for AI Safety, is the advisor of the company. Mr. Musk was a co-founder of OpenAI in 2015 but left the start-up in 2018.

In April 2023, Mr. Musk announced his plans to introduce TruthGPT, an AI system focused on seeking maximum truth, to compete with Google’s Bard and Microsoft’s Bing AI, which also strives to comprehend the fundamental nature of the universe.

A lot of concerns popped up earlier this year regarding AI risks to humanity. Mr. Musk made an accusation against ChatGPT saying that it produces biased content towards left-wing and politically correct perspectives.
