The climatic ordeal imposed by Cyclone Mocha is projected to reach its conclusion as the cyclone is expected to dissipate over northern Myanmar. By 15th May 2023 night and into the early hours of 16th May 2023 morning, local time, the cyclone’s intensity is predicted to diminish significantly, offering a respite to the affected areas.
Amidst the cyclone’s onslaught, the region finds itself grappling with an additional humanitarian challenge, as confirmed by the United Nations. The area, already burdened by ongoing conflicts, houses a significant population of hundreds of thousands of individuals who have been displaced from their homes.
