Washington DC: US aviation giant Boeing has announced a $1 million donation to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fund, joining other major firms supporting the January 20 event.

Google has made a similar contribution, alongside donations from companies like Meta, Amazon, Uber, Chevron, Ford, General Motors, and Toyota.

Boeing said that, “We are pleased to continue Boeing’s bipartisan tradition of supporting US Presidential Inaugural Committees.” The company added that it has made similar donations to each of the past three presidential inauguration funds.

Boeing highlighted its tradition of bipartisan support for inaugural committees and noted its ongoing work on the next Air Force One, expected to enter service next year. Boeing is also navigating recovery from safety and quality control issues, as well as losses from last year’s strike.

Google’s $1 million pledge will be paired with a livestream of the inauguration on YouTube and a homepage link to the event. Chevron confirmed its donation but did not disclose the amount, citing its long-standing practice of celebrating democracy through such contributions.

Automakers Ford, General Motors, and Toyota have each donated $1 million, reinforcing broad corporate backing for the inauguration that marks the beginning of Trump’s second term in the White House.

These donations represent a substantial increase compared to previous inaugurations. This influx of corporate donations has led to a record-breaking fundraising effort for Trump’s inauguration, with reports indicating that the inaugural committee has already raised over $170 million.
