Colorado: Authorities in Colorado have confirmed that the suspect in a high school shooting has died from self-inflicted injuries.
The incident occurred at Evergreen High School, located in a small town outside Denver. Police identified the suspect as a male student of the school, who attacked 12:30pm (18:30 GMT). Two students were injured during the shooting and rushed to a nearby hospital. While they were initially reported to be in critical condition, officials later said their injuries are not life-threatening. Their names have not yet been released.
Jacki Kelley, public information officer at the Jeffco County Sheriff’s Office, told that the suspect used a revolver handgun in the attack. Jacki Kelley stated that, “We are now saying that the shooter is a juvenile male. We’re not giving an age yet.”

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspect fired multiple shots inside and outside the school before taking his own life. Responding officers did not discharge their weapons. The shooting came just 20 minutes after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was killed in a separate shooting at a university event in neighbouring Utah, though authorities have not linked the two incidents.
The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting in the investigation. Kelley said investigators will be examining the suspect’s home, car, and school locker in an effort to uncover a possible motive. Kelley added that, “This is an ongoing investigation. We’re going to focus on finding out more about him and maybe why this happened.”
