Los Angeles: Beyoncé has officially become a billionaire, making her the fifth musician to reach the milestone, according to Forbes. The Grammy-winning global star, aged 44, joins the ranks of the world’s wealthiest individuals following the extraordinary success of her Cowboy Carter tour.
Forbes reports that the tour generated more than $400 million in ticket sales, alongside an estimated $50 million in merchandise revenue. This followed the success of her earlier Renaissance world tour, which grossed more than $579 million. The financial impact of these tours played a central role in elevating Beyoncé’s net worth to billionaire status.
She now joins an exclusive group of musicians who have crossed the billion-dollar threshold, including her husband Jay-Z, who became the first musician billionaire on Forbes’ list in 2019, as well as Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Taylor Swift.
While Beyoncé has launched several successful business ventures, including the Cébé haircare brand, SirDavis whiskey label, and Ivy Park clothing line, Forbes notes that the majority of her personal wealth is still derived from her music. This includes revenue from her extensive music catalogue and earnings from large-scale global tours.

In 2010, Beyoncé founded Parkwood Entertainment, a management and production company that brought all her creative and commercial operations, spanning music, concerts, films, and documentaries, under one umbrella, giving her direct control over her artistic output and business decisions.
Her 2024 album Cowboy Carter was met with widespread critical acclaim and earned her the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, marking the first time she secured the top honour in that category. The tour that followed the album’s release became the highest-grossing music tour in the world in 2025.
The three-hour stadium show featured appearances by Jay-Z, her children, and former Destiny’s Child bandmates. Highlighting the scale of the production, Forbes noted that the tour employed around 350 crew members, transported equipment using 100 semi-trucks and relied on eight Boeing 747 cargo planes to move the show from city to city.
The publication emphasised that across the entertainment industry, few enterprises are as lucrative as those of musicians capable of consistently selling out stadiums.

Beyoncé began her career as part of the chart-topping group Destiny’s Child before launching her solo career in the early 2000s. She has since become the most-awarded and most-nominated artist in Grammy history.
In addition to her music and touring income, Forbes estimates that Beyoncé earned around $50 million for her 2024 ‘Beyoncé Bowl’ halftime performance during the NFL’s Christmas Day game, as well as $10 million for starring in Levi’s advertising campaigns.
Referencing her own lyrics from the track Pure/Honey, “It should cost a billion to look this good,” Forbes remarked that Beyoncé has now officially reached that benchmark. According to the publication, there are more than 3,000 billionaires worldwide in 2025, and Beyoncé has firmly secured her place among them.
