California, Unites States: Apple, American technology giant, has revealed that an iPhone 14 Pro software update is coming in the later part of September to fix a camera shake issue.
According to experts, the new cameras on the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max phones have an issue with third-party apps which causes their autofocus or OIS systems to go wild and vibrate uncontrollably.
The iPhone maker stated that it is aware of the problem and is working on the fix.
Apple’s own camera app works fine, suggesting that it’s a software issue rather than a hardware one. Of course, installed apps can’t damage the camera, so it could be a bug in the camera Application Programming Interface (API), experts reported.
In a series of recent tweets, Apple analyst Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that demand for the iPhone 14 Pro models has caused Apple to shift production lines for its standard iPhone 14 lineup to produce higher-end devices. At the same time, the iPhone 14 Pro models seem to have longer wait times than the rest of the iPhone 14 lineup.
The new camera system on the iPhone 14 Pro, which for the first time includes a 48-megapixel sensor for the main lens, is one of the device’s major upgrades this year. The phone also has a software interface called Dynamic Island that works with an updated camera cutout to show information like map directions or AirPods status.
The iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999, with the Pro Max model costing $1,099 in the US.
