United States: Amazon has launched its own AI-powered Titan Image Generator tool during the AWS re:Invent conference.

The new tool is part of the Amazon Titan multimodal foundation models. According to the company, Amazon Titan Image Generator enables content creators to swiftly and precisely refine images using English language cues.

Mr. Swami Sivasubramanian, Vice President of Database, Analytics, and Machine Learning, stated that, “It facilitates easy background swaps, transforming scenes from a rainforest backdrop to lifestyle images while maintaining the primary focus of the image and expanding creative options.”

    Amazon Web Services

Rivals like Google, Microsoft, and startups such as Stability AI have already released image generation models. The generator promises substantial assistance for businesses in advertising, e-commerce, media, and entertainment by facilitating the creation of high-volume, cost-effective, studio-quality images.

Beyond creating images from text prompts, Titan Image Generator allows isolating, removing, or inserting new elements into existing images.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) emphasised the customisation potential, allowing companies to fine-tune the model with their proprietary data to align with brand guidelines or create images in a specific style.

Alongside Amazon Titan Multimodal Embeddings, AWS unveiled two new Amazon Titan multimodal foundation models.

As per the company, “Amazon Titan Text Lite and Amazon Titan Text Express are now available in Amazon Bedrock, offering a choice among three available Amazon Titan Text FMs, including Amazon Titan Text Embeddings.”

Additionally, the Titan Image Generator promotes responsible AI usage by mitigating the generation of harmful content.

All images generated by Amazon Titan have an invisible watermark, a default feature aiding in identifying AI-generated images discreetly to curb misinformation spread.
