United States: Pop icon Beyonce set the record for most career victories at the Grammy Awards, but she was defeated once more by British singer Harry Styles in the prestigious album of the year category.

Beyonce acquired four more Grammys, raising her overall total to 32, surpassing the late conductor of classical music, Georg Solti. This year, she received nine nominations for prizes. Despite years of success, the 41-year-old “Break My Soul” singer has never won the best album award despite receiving four nominations. Styles received that award for “Harry’s House.”

“I’ve been so inspired by every artist in this category. On nights like tonight, it’s obviously so important for us to remember that there is no such thing as best in music,” styles cited. Styles, resplendent in a silver fringe costume, had dazzled the audience with a performance of his popular tune “As It Was.”

The former “One Direction” singer won over a list of album that included Beyonce, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, singer and flutist Lizzo, British vocalist Adele and disco-era Swedish hitmaker ABBA. Beyonce entered the stage as she accepted the Grammy for best dance/electronic album for “Renaissance,” setting a new record.

“I am trying not to be too emotional. I am trying just to receive this night, I want to thank God for protecting me. Thank you, God,” Beyonce noted.
