Israel: The Israeli military has launched strikes on Rafah that resulted in the deaths of at least 28 Palestinians shortly after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hinted that an invasion of the city in southern Gaza might not be far off.
At least 28 people were killed overnight on Saturday in three airstrikes on residential homes in the Rafah area, as per the official sources who were there on the spot.
According to reports, each Israeli airstrike killed several members of three different families, including ten children, the youngest of whom was only three months old. This was similar to many other Israeli airstrikes.
This happened just hours after Netanyahu claimed to have given order for the military to organize the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who had been forcibly displaced from Rafah to be evacuated in advance of a ground invasion that would coincide with the aerial strikes.
Although Netanyahu did not give any specifics or a timeframe, his announcement only made more than half of the two million people living in the Gaza Strip more terrified, as per the reports.
over 3 million people are now packed into Rafah. Many of them had been displaced several times before as a result of Israel’s war on Gaza.
In order for Rafah to achieve “total victory” over the group, the Israeli leader has stated that he must remove the alleged four Hamas battalions from the area.
Israeli forces continue to besiege Nasser Hospital, the region’s biggest medical facility. They have killed numerous people nearby with their weaponry, which includes attack drones and sniper fire.
