Qatar: Superstar French footballer Kylian Mbappe scored his second goal in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar On November 26th against Denmark. Mbappe scored the game-winning goal against the World’s No. 10 team in the 86th minute of the Group D match at Stadium 974.

Mbappe also scored in France’s opening World Cup match against Australia, when he scored the 3rd goal for Les Blues in the 68th minute. The PSG superstar’s goal for France was pivotal in helping them advance to the Round of 16 on November 26th.

France became the first defending Champion in 16 years to successfully advance from the group stage of the FIFA World Cup. The reigning Champions have missed the knockout rounds in the last three seasons. But France broke the trend and defeated Australia by a score of 4-1 before defeating Denmark 2-1 to get to the knockout rounds.

Mbappe’s goal against Denmark was his seventh in FIFA World Cup games, and with it, he joined the elite group of scorers that includes Pele of Brazil. In addition to becoming the first player after Pele to score seven or more goals in FIFA World Cup games before turning 24, the 23-year-old French forward made history by becoming the first teenager to score in the FIFA World Cup final since it was held in Russia four years ago.

In the 9 FIFA World Cup games that have been played so far, Mbappe has seven goals to his name. With his goal against Denmark, he also passed Thierry Henry’s record of six goals for France in World Cup games. Just Fontaine, who scored 13 goals in six games during the 1958 World Cup, which was held in Sweden, is now his closest competitor.
